FROM: Travis Storin, Chief Financial Officer
RE: Sept. 28, 2021 Work Session Summary: 2022 Budget work session #2
The first work session on the 2022 Budget was conducted on September 14 where four
of the City’s seven Outcomes were discussed. This 2nd work session continued that
dialogue and completed reviews of the following Outcomes:
- Neighborhood Livability and Social Health
- Safe Community
- High Performing Government
After a brief presentation on each Outcome, City Council dialogue ensued with
responses to questions provided by staff. Attachment #1 contains the follow-up
questions and requests not addressed during this second budget work session.
Responses for all unanswered inquiries are targeted to be completed in a memo
included in the October 7 Council Thursday Packet.
Prior to that, the 2nd of two Public Hearings on the 2022 Budget will be held on October
5.
The 3rd budget work session on the 2022 Budget is scheduled for October 12. During
that meeting staff will report on the modifications it has heard thus far, along with
recommendations on how to fund those offers, either in full or in a scalable fashion. The
discussion will focus on general direction from Council on changes to be incorporated
for 1st Reading, which is scheduled for Tuesday, November 2.
