1. CALL TO ORDER: 12:00 PM

Board Members Present – Tedi Cox, Will Flowers (Chair), Zackery Klassen, Vicki Fogel
Mykles (Vice Chair), Jesse Solomon, Jennifer Zidon
Board Members Absent – Aquiles Quiroga
Staff Members Present - Jim McDonald, Liz Irvine
Guests: Katy Schneider, Director of Marketing, Visit Fort Collins

5. APPROV AL OF MINUTES
Consideration and approval of the Minutes from May 7, 2020. Vicki Fogel Mykles made a
motion to accept the Minutes. Tedi Cox seconded the motion. The motion passed
unanimously. Approved by roll call, Ayes: Tedi Cox, Will Flowers, Zackery Klassen, Vicki
Fogel Mykles, Jesse Solomon, Jennifer Zidon.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
None
7. NEW BUSINESS
Katy Schneider, Director of Marketing, Visit Fort Collins
o Katy shared with the Cultural Resources Board the following:
The lodging taxes were down for both April and May by 84%. June was up
24%.
The biggest demographic of travelers right now are millennials.
Fort Fund Grantee Update
o Jim McDonald shared that the Fort Fund grant program has been supportive of the
grantees having to revise their programs due to Covid-19. Some grantees are
changing dates and creating virtual programs. The changes are being tracked
closely.
Update on Cultural Facilities
o Jim McDonald gave the following update:
The Gardens on Spring Creek reopened in early June. New programs include
yoga and tai chi on the great lawn.
The Museum of Discovery reopened on July 14th.

The Lincoln Center reopened on July 6th and is available for gatherings and
meetings.
The Carnegie Center for Creativity is still closed at this time.
Future Cultural Resources Board Meeting Schedule – Will Flowers reminded the Board
Members that the annual work plan needs to be completed. Jim McDonald will send a draft
to the Board in August. The work plan requires a formal meeting, he suggested that the
Board’s next meeting should be in September.
8. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS:
Jen Zidon attended FoCMX’s “Drive & Jive” at the Holiday Twin featuring Bevin Luna and
The Gas Pops.
9. OTHER BUSINESS:
Jim McDonald shared that City Council has a work session on 8/11/20. “Reimagining of
Boards and Commissions” will be discussed.
10. ADJOURNMENT:
Will Flowers made a motion to adjourn at 1:11 PM. Vicki Fogel Mykles seconded the
motion. The motion passed unanimously. Approved by roll call, Ayes: Tedi Cox, Will
Flowers, Zackery Klassen, Vicki Fogel Mykles, Jesse Solomon, Jennifer Zidon.
