CALL TO ORDER: 12:05 P.M. 2. ROLL CALL • Board Members Present - Mr. Will Flowers, Ms. Jane Folsom, Ms. Lili Francuz, Ms. Tedi Cox, Ms. Jennifer Zidon, Ms. Vicki Fogel Mykles, Mr. Jesse Solomon • Board Members Absent - None • Staff Members Present - Mr. Jim McDonald, Ms. Liz Irvine, Ms. Christine Macrina, Ms. Eileen Dornfest, Ms. Tara Muller • Guests: Katy Schneider, Director of Marketing, Visit Fort Collins 3. AGENDA REVIEW • No changes 4. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION • None 5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES • Consideration and approval of the minutes from April 25, 2019. Ms. Jane Folsom made a motion to accept the minutes as amended. Mr. Jesse Solomon seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. 6. NEW BUSINESS • Ms. Christine Macrina, Boards and Commissions Coordinator, informed the Board of the opportunity to ride Transfort and the Max for free. She supplied interested Board members with passes. • Katy Schneider, Director of Marketing, Visit Fort Collins, gave an update on the Tourism Master Plan and the economic impact of Campus Crusade. • Ms. Eileen Dornfest, Civil Engineer, Utilities, gave a presentation on The Halligan Water Supply Project. Follow Up: Mr. Jim McDonald to speak with Ms. Ellen Martin to confirm Art in Public Places participation. • Mr. Jack Rogers, Director of The Lincoln Center presented The Lincoln Center’s 2019- 2020 season overview. Mr. Jim McDonald let the Board know that the City Give program helped resource funds for the National Geographic programs. 7. DIRECTOR’S REPORT • Mr. Jim McDonald gave an overview for Cultural Services. FoCo Creates Arts and Culture Master Plan was adopted by City Council. b. The Gardens on Spring Creek’s plant sale had over 1,880 transactions and raised $104,000 in sales. Over 3,500 people attended. c. The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery had 38k visitors in the first quarter. The museum has achieved accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums. d. The Art in Public Places Willow Street Project was approved by City Council. 8. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS (EVENT ATTENDANCE, ETC.) • Ms. Jennifer Zidon attended the Fort Collins Musicians Association’s Fort Collins Music Experiment. • Ms. Tedi Cox attended Cinco De Mayo of Northern Colorado’s Cinco De Mayo Festival • Ms. Vicki Fogel Mykles attended Debut Theatre’s Phantom Tollbooth. 9. OTHER BUSINESS • The Board discussed having a retreat. Staff will work with Mr. Will Flowers for proposed date. • Staff will invite Ms. Nina Bodenhamer to present the City Give program at the upcoming CuRB meeting. 10.
