CALL TO ORDER: 5:30 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL • Board Members Present - Will Flowers (Chair), Tedi Cox, Vicki Fogel Mykles, Jesse Solomon, Jennifer Zidon • Board Members Absent – None • Staff Members Present - Jim McDonald, Liz Irvine, Jaime Jones • Guests: Katy Schneider, Director of Marketing, Visit Fort Collins 3. AGENDA REVIEW 2020 Officer Elections added 4. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION • None 5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES • Consideration and approval of the December 19, 2019 Minutes. Tedi Cox made a motion to accept the minutes. Vicki Fogel Mykles seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS • None 7. NEW BUSINESS • Katy Schneider, Director of Marketing, Visit Fort Collins, gave an update on lodging taxes and the progress of the Visit Fort Collins Master Plan. • Project Support II January 2020 – Discussion and Funding Recommendations. o The Board reviewed 22 applications. The Board recommended funding 22 organizations for a total of $88,000. Tedi Cox made a motion to accept the funding recommendations. Jennifer Zidon seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. The recommendations are listed below. Jesse Solomon seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. 8. DIRECTOR’S REPORT • Jim McDonald gave an update that Project Support is now open. It will close March 10th. Staff has sent an email to all past applicants reminding them of the deadlines. He noted that the Gardens on Spring Creek has added many new varieties of butterflies to the Butterfly House. He also noted that the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery is in the process of hiring a Co-Executive Director for the nonprofit side. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS (EVENT ATTENDANCE, ETC.) • Tedi Cox attended the Fort Collins Symphony’s Youth Education Series at Timberline Church. • Vicki Fogel Mykles added that the Fort Collins Symphony is working with the Fort Collins Comic Con for March 22, 2020 Pops Concert. 9. OTHER BUSINESS: 10. ADJOURNMENT: • Will Flowers made a motion to adjourn at 6:50 p.m. Vicki Fogel Mykles seconded motion. The motion passed unanimously.
