Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: Bronwyn Scurlock, Assistant City Attorney I Carrie Ripsam, Liquor Enforcement Officer Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Consent Agenda Approved:  Minutes from the May 15, 2019 meeting.  Modification of Premise Application from Mini Mart, Inc., dba Loaf ‘N Jug #19, 150 West Drake Road.  Modification of Premise Application from Mini Mart, Inc., dba Loaf ‘N Jug #858, 1801 North College Avenue.  Temporary Modification of Premise Application from Hop Grenade Taproom, 347 East Foothills Parkway, Unit #120.  Change of Location Application from Studio Be Salon, LLC, Studio Be Salon, 2720 Council Tree Avenue, #180. Show Cause Hearing for Celli, Inc., dba East Coast, 223 B Linden Street, Hearing Continued to July 17, 2019 This hearing was continued to July 17, 2019. Manager Registration Application from Wadsworth Old Chicago, Inc., dba Old Chicago, 4709 South Timberline Road, Approved Brandon Ruff, manager applicant, stated he supervises approximately 60 employees and that wait staff must card anyone that appears to be 40 years of age of younger. Mr. Ruff stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated. Judge Lane approved the registration of Brandon Ruff as manager of Old Chicago, 4709 South Timberline Road. Temporary Modification of Premise Application from The Criterion Group, LLC, dba The Melting Pot, 334 East Mountain Avenue, Approved Ryan Houdek, representative for The Criterion Group, LLC, stated there are no changes to this year’s event. In response to questions from Liquor Enforcement Officer Ripsam, Mr. Houdek described the premises and that this is for the weekend of NewWest Fest, August 8 through 11, 2019. Judge Lane approved the temporary modification of premise application from the Criterion Group, LLC, dba The Melting Pot, 334 East Mountain Avenue. Modification of Premise Application from Taste & Savor Wine Bar, LLC, dba Taste & Savor Wine Bar, 3581 East Harmony Road, Suite 130, Approved James Ward, representative for Taste and Savor Wine Bar, LLC, stated this is not just customer driven, but will help with the visibility of his location. He stated he has good visibility of the patio from inside and that they are in the process of hiring additional staff to monitor the outside area. Judge Lane approved the modification of premise application from Taste and Savor Wine Bar, LLC, dba Taste and Savor Wine Bar, 3581 East Harmony Road, Suite 130. Transfer of Ownership Application from Sri Ganesh, LLC, dba Fabby’s Wine & Spirits, 2608 South Timberline Road, #112, Approved Jagandeep Mavi, representative for Sri Ganesh, LLC, stated if any employee found in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated. He stated there are not making any changes to the premises and that either the owner or a manager will always be on premise. Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership application from Sri Ganesh, LLC, dba Fabby’s Wine & Spirits, 2608 South Timberline Road, #112. Ms. Roumaya briefly described their concept and stated that all employees involved in the sale and service of alcohol will be required to attend training. She stated they will only serve alcohol during workshops and will not be open and serving any other time. Mr. Roumaya stated they do not have an outdoor area and do not share the common consumption area. He stated they will employ approximately 8-10 employees. Ms. Roumaya stated they will card anyone that appears to be under the age of 50. Ellyn Just, representative for Aggie Agency, LLC, was sworn. She briefly described the petitioning process. Ms. Just stated that these results indicate strong support for this beer and wine license application. Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2019-016 approving a beer and wine license from Roumaya Holdings, LLC, dba Board and Brush Creative Studio, 244 North College Avenue, #115. New Application from ASH Company, LLC, dba Urban Air Adventure Park, 4250 Corbett Drive, Approved Scott A. and Abby Hussy, representatives for ASH Company, LLC, were sworn. Mr. Hussey stated they do not expect alcohol sales to exceed 5% and briefly described the business. He stated alcohol service will be for adults that have children playing in the facility only. In response to questions from the Authority, Mr. Hussey described the premises and that they will card everyone that orders an alcoholic beverage that appears under the age of 50. He stated that he and Ms. Hussey will be responsible for training all the staff with regard to the sale and service of alcohol. He stated they have approximately 120 employees, 3 managers, 2 assistant managers. Mr. Hussey stated all food and alcohol will be contained with in a fenced area and that the owners will be involved with the day to day operations. He stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code will be immediately terminated. Ellyn Just, representative for Aggie Agency, LLC, was sworn. She briefly described the petitioning process and that this result indicates strong support for this application. Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2019-015 approving an application for a beer and wine license from ASH Company, LLC, dba Urban Air Adventure Park, 4250 Corbett Drive.
