CALL TO ORDER: 12:00 P.M. 2. ROLL CALL • Board Members Present - Mr. Will Flowers, Ms. Jane Folsom, Ms. Tedi Cox, Ms. Jennifer Zidon, Mr. Jesse Solomon, Ms. Vicki Fogel Mykles, Ms. Lili Francuz • Board Members Absent – None • Staff Members Present - Mr. Jim McDonald, Ms. Jaime Jones • Guests: Ms. Dulcie Willis, Ms. Heather Johnson, Mr. Kevin Flowers 3. AGENDA REVIEW 4. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION • None 5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES • Consideration and approval of the minutes from July 25, 2019 and September 21, 2019. Ms. Folsom made a motion to accept the minutes. Ms. Fogel Mykles seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS • None 7. NEW BUSINESS • Fort Collins Fringe Festival. Ms. Dulcie Willis and Ms. Heather Johnson, Co-Directors of the Fort Collins Fringe Festival, gave an overview of the 2019 Festival and thanked the Cultural Resources Board for supporting the Festival through a Fort Fund grant. • Potential Workshops/Marketing for Fort Fund grantees/community. Mr. McDonald informed the Board that there is an opportunity to host a series of two or three workshops for the local cultural community on marketing. Board discussion included options for the workshops including a panel discussion followed by breakouts with presenters. The workshops could possibly start in the first quarter of 2020. Mr. McDonald will research options and report back. • Cultural Plan and CuRB involvement discussion: Board discussed how to support the implementation of the Cultural Plan, including reviewing the action items and seeing where there was alignment with the Boards duties. DIRECTOR’S REPORT • Fort Fund. There will be a public meeting on November 18, 2019 to discuss updates to the 2020 Guidelines. • The Gardens on Spring Creek. Reopening Day Saturday, November 16th 9-10. • Fort Collins Museum of Discovery. New exhibit – Game Changers. Job Announcement posted for Co-Director, Nonprofit partner. • The Lincoln Center. New Season off to a good start with sold out performances. • Visual Arts/APP. White Water Park open, major piece “Wave” by John Davis; ArtWear was on 10/18; Willow Street project with Andrew Dufford is being installed. • Cultural Services and Fort Fund web pages have been updated 9. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS (EVENT ATTENDANCE, ETC.) • Mr. Flowers attended ArtWear • Ms. Cox attended ArtWear, Opera Fort Collins Guild Songs in Summer • Ms. Francuz attended Fort Collins Book Festival • Ms. Folsom attended Fortoberfest, ArtWear, Opera Fort Collins Guild Songs in Summer • Ms. Fogel Mykles attended Dance Express, Bas Bleu Driving Miss Daisy 10. OTHER BUSINESS: • None 11. ADJOURNMENT: • Mr. Flowers made a motion to adjourn at 1:55 pm. Ms. Francuz seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
