1. CALL TO ORDER
12:03 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
• Board Members Present - Mr. Will Flowers, Ms. Jane Folsom, Ms. Lili Francuz,
Ms.Tedi Cox, Ms. Vicki Fogel Mykles, Mr. Jesse Solomon, Ms. Jennifer Zidon
• Board Members Absent - None
• Staff Members Present - Mr. Jim McDonald, Ms. Cheryl Donaldson, Ms. Liz Irvine
3. AGENDA REVIEW
4. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
• Ms. Brie Graves, Ms. Katherine Lovett (Front Range Community College)
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
a. Consideration and approval of the minutes from January 23, 2018. Ms. Jane Folsom
made a motion to accept the minutes as amended. Ms. Vicki Fogel Mykles seconded
the motion. Ms. Jennifer Zidon abstained. The motion passed unanimously.
6. NEW BUSINESS
a. Introduce new Board member, Jennifer Zidon. Mr. Will Flowers welcomed new
Board member Jennifer Zidon.
b. Guest - Cheryl Donaldson, Executive Director, City Partner, Museum of Discovery
Ms. Cheryl Donaldson presented to the Board a report on the Museum of Discovery.
c. Election of Board Chair and Vice Chair. Mr. Flowers asked the Board who was
interested in being Board Chair. Mr. Flowers volunteered to take this role again for
the rest of the year. Ms. Tedi Cox made a motion to nominate Mr. Will Flowers. Mr.
Jesse Solomon seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Ms. Lili
Francuz made a motion to nominate Vicki Fogel Mykles to be Vice Chair. Ms. Jane
Folsom seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
d. Appoint of the APP liaison. Ms. Jane Folsom volunteered to be the APP liaison.
e. Liaison assignments for Project Support II January 2019 grantees - The Board
assigned the liaisons. Ms. Liz Irvine will email the new list.
f. Mr. Jim McDonald let the Board know that Katy Schneider from Visit Fort Collins
would be attending Board meetings. Peggy Lyle from the Downtown Creative
District will also be asked to come to update the Board. The Board welcomed this
idea and expanded more on this to possibly include a CuRB member attending the
meetings of Downtown Development Authority and the Downtown Business
Cultural Resources Board

Association. Mr. Jim McDonald and Will Flowers will update the Board at the next
meeting.
7. DIRECTORS REPORT
• Reminder that the reception set for March 6th
with APP board has been
cancelled
• Fort Fund – applications open for Project Support and Organizational Support,
close 4/2. Nice press received in the Coloradoan, etc.
• Lincoln Center – Art in Nature in Gallery closing March 23rd
, having a good
winter with several performances selling out.
• Gardens – Closed, until they open in early fall – they are doing some classes,
utilizing CCC.
• CO Creative Industries Summit 5/16 – 17 in Salida.
• Attended: Symphony, Chorale, Bas Bleu, Off the Hook Arts, CSU Dance, Dance
Express, Art Up Week
• FoCo Creates – Mr. Jim McDonald reminded the Board there is a meeting
scheduled with CuRB and APP Board for Friday the 8th
to share Vision
Statement and Goals. There are also public meetings on 3/14 and 3/26. In
addition, a meeting with art and cultural organizations is scheduled for March
11th and with the FoCo Creates Cultural Equity and Inclusion Group on March
19th. The FoCo Creates Our City web page will be updated in early March with
the public meeting information. The draft Vision Statement and Goals will also
be posted. Work Session with Council is April 23rd
. Mr. Jim McDonald provided
the Board a copy of the draft of the FoCo Creates Arts and Culture Master Plan
Vision Statement and Goals.
8. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS
a. Ms. Lili Francuz reported that she had been to the Rialto Theatre to see a
magician/comedian.
b. Ms. Jane Folsom reported about new grants that the NEA just awarded. There was a
one grant awarded for Fort Collins.
