HomeMy WebLinkAboutSenior Advisory Board - Minutes - 06/13/2018City of Fort Collins Senior Advisory Board Minutes Wednesday, June 13, 2018 11:30 a.m. Fort Collins Senior Center 1200 Raintree Drive Fort Collins, Colorado 80526 Mission: The Senior Advisory Board shall serve in an advisory capacity y to the Fort Collins City Council on programs and policies that help aging citizens live full and interesting lives and continue to contribute, participate, and share in the life of the community. NOTE: Light lunch will be provided. Board Members Present: Myles Crane, Sarah Schilz, Wendy True, Greg Wells, Jason Brabson, Suzanne King, Nancy Luttrop, Sue Dalton, Janet Sanders Staff Present: Katie Stieber, Lisa Hays Speaker(s) and Guests: Ed Shackleford (Colorado Senior Lobby); Jim Becker (PAFC) Absent: Darha Rose unexcused I. Senior Transportation Coalition - Jason Brabson; Transfort has a new supervisor, call center is focusing on more teamwork. b. City of Fort Collins Affordable Housing, 1st Thursday, 4 pm; Greg Wells City Plan meeting was agenda focused. Discussed Accessary Dwelling Units (ADU’s); discussion of zoning and permitting of carriage houses in old town. Information on the ambassador program was forwarded to board members. c. City of Fort Collins Transportation, 3rd Wednesday, 6 pm, 215 N. Mason community room - Jason Brabson -- d. PAFC steering committee: Myles Crane met with board of PAFC, and had productive sessions. e. PAFC – Housing, Nancy Luttrop- The housing committee will be formulating questions for seniors to determine what their average day looks like, what is right/wrong, wants and needs. f. PAFC culture of aging committee- program to show 2 movies at a venue TBA, with a survey before and after. g. PAFC health and wellness committee-Myles –Completed survey on mental health h. Other – i.
