Youth Advisory Board
Regular Meeting
Date: Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016
Place: Foothills Activity Center, Community Room
Time: 5:30-6:30 pm
241 East Foothills Parkway (Located Inside Foothills Mall)
Vivian Bear, Betsy Pruznick, Nicholas Lin, Nela Mohan, Megan Ronquillo
Absent:
Naitra Ramchander, Katie Ko, Roshini Narayanan
Staff Present: Marc Rademacher (Staff Liaison), Sara Stone (Recreation Supervisor), Christine
Macrina (Boards and Commissions Coordinator)
• Motion to call the meeting to order made by Betsy Pruznick at 5:40 p.m.
• Approval of Minutes: Betsy Pruznick motioned to approve the minutes, Vivian Bear
seconded
• Chairman's report: none
• Citizen Participation: none
• Family Volunteer Day
Held at the Lee Martinez Farm
Betsy, Katie, and Nicholas will attend
• Cultural Resources Board
Vivian talked to them and will be a liaison between the boards
Our whole board will try to visit in one of their meetings (maybe December?)
• 2017 YAB Work Plan
The January meeting was moved and a meeting was created for June
• Community Chalkboard
We talked about asking schools about buying a chalkboard
Maybe locate the chalkboard inside of the mall for a time (talk to John Gaffney)
Put together a sub-committee for the Chalkboard
