Youth Advisory Board
Regular Meeting
Date: Wednesday, January 11th, 2017
Place: Northside Aztlan Community Center, Meeting Room
Time: 5:30-6:30 pm
Present:
Vivian Bear, Betsy Pruznick, Nicholas Lin, Nela Mohan, Katie Ko
Absent:
Naitra Ramchander, Megan Ronquillo, Roshini Narayanan
Staff Present: Marc Rademacher (Staff Liaison), Sara Stone (Recreation Supervisor), Christine
Macrina (Boards and Commissions Coordinator)
• Motion to call the meeting to order made by Betsy Pruznick at 5:44 p.m.
• Approval of Minutes: Betsy Pruznick motioned to postpone the minutes until next
meeting, Vivian Bear seconded
• Chairman’s report: none
• Citizen Participation: none
• Imagine Summit
- Read a pamphlet given by Council member Martinez
• Congressional City Conference
- Members got an application for the conference
- This year, two members will be sent
- Next, year three members will be sent
• Cultural Resources Board
- Vivian tried to contact them further and is waiting on a response
• Regional Youth Advisory Boards
- Nick contacted Longmont and is discussing a time
- Cheyanne cannot drive all the way here (maybe we join them?)
• Community Chalkboard
- Katie got a basic design that would work along with some quotes
- Nela asked schools about donating chalkboard; they said that it was a good
possibility
- Betsy will try to contact John Gaffney again and set up a meeting
- Plan on inviting Annie again
• Mental Health Project: Everyone Matters Day
- Possibly give a talk to the middle schools
• Adjournment: Betsy Pruznick motioned to adjourn at 6:22 p.m., Vivian seconded the
motion. Motion unanimously passed.
