Meeting Minutes

Present: Kimberly Allison, Johanna Ulloa Girón, Susan Mathre, Jimena Sagas, Victor Smith, Joseph Somodi, Beth Sowder,
Nancy Tellez and Laura Vetrano.
Absent: Colleen Conway
Guest Presenters:
• Kelly DiMartino - Assistant City Manager – EOCM Position in Fort Collins
• Tiana Smith – Revenue and Project Manager – Impact Fees
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.
AGENDA REVIEW
The meeting agenda was unanimously approved.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The February meeting minutes were unanimously approved.
PUBLIC INPUT
There was no public input.
GUEST PRESENTATIONS
• Kelly DiMartino presented the requirements and expectations of a new employment position within the City of Fort
Collins; The Equal Opportunity and Compliance Manager Position. This position will be an Equal Opportunity
point of contact between the community and the City.
• Tianna Smith presented a Power Point discussion titled: City of Fort Collin’s Fee Coordination Project &
Building-Related Fee Update. Current and future impact fees, both local and neighboring, were outlined relating
to the cost of public service, infrastructure and new development with stated purpose within the community of Fort
Collins.
DISCUSSION TOPICS
• Members discussed the draft of Duties of the Human Relations Commission. Changes were suggested.
• A motion was made to accept the list of Committees and Chairs. This motion was unanimously accepted.
• Members discussed the Visions, Goals, Long Range Planning.
• A work group session/meeting was discussed to take place prior to the next meeting in April. The workgroup was
tentatively set for March 18th.
• Colleen Conway remains Vice-Chair and would take over if and when Vic Smith is unavailable.
• New badges were distributed to all committee members.
CLOSING
A motion to adjourn was unanimously approved at 7:39 pm
The Next HRC meeting will be Thursday April 13, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. in the CIC Room, City Hall West.
