Meeting Minutes

Present: Kimberly Allison, Colleen Conway, Cynthia Davis, Jessica Gengler, Julia Mackewich, Susan
Mathre, Jean Runyon and Victor Smith
Absent: Hillel Katzir
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Victor Smith, Chair.
Agenda Review: The meeting agenda was motioned and approved 8-0.
Approval of Minutes: The November meeting minutes were motioned and approved 8-0.
Public Input: None.
Guest Presentations: None.
Discussion Topics:
• A motion was made and approved 8-0 to edit and send the following memo to Council: Steps to
Respond to Hate and Promote Equity and Inclusion. Vic Smith will send the memo.
• Discussion about support for FoCo Speaks Out! was tabled until the current HRC budget is
available.
• Members agreed that a retreat date and location will be decided. Carol Thomas and Vic Smith
will search for a facilitator.
• Kimberly Allison reviewed the January 22nd Cracking the Codes event and proposed two
outreach events for 2018: an HRC reunion event in July and a community dinner in October.
• Kimberly Allison requested that the 2017 and current budgets be made available. Carol Thomas
will provide those budgets for the March meeting.
• Training: Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.
Closing: The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
The next HRC meeting will be Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room in the City
Offices Building at 215 N Mason Street.
