Call to Order: 12:20
1. Introductions
2. Approval of May Minutes: Marr moved to approve. Efird seconded.
3. Open Discussion:
a. Boylan brought up the transportation surveys she had emailed and asked
for email responses and input.
4. New Business:
a. Chief Hutto answered questions about how the police department
Interacts with people with disabilities. Some of the officers have been
specially trained as MHO’s Mental Heath Officers. Chief Hutto is willing to
work with programs that interact with people that have disabilities to
improve officer and public communication.
b. Dan Weinheimer spoke on the city naming policy for facilities and
property and the changing of some of the policies. Trying to make a more
predictable and transparent policy for the naming of city owned property.
c. ADA anniversary- how will the commission commemorate the
anniversary, will this be part of the Mayors awards in October. This will
be further discussed at the subcommittee meeting for the Mayor’s
Awards on July 9th

d. Disabled parking in Fort Collins- Schlicting will ask that a Fort Collins
Parking Services member would attend a future commission meeting.
5. Old Business:
a. Transfort sidewalk and bus stops. Emma Blmont spoke briefly on the
first plan for updating the sidewalk and bus stops. Some of the
commission members will be attending the City Council meeting on July
7th
at 6:00 there are some major accessibility issues with some of the bus
stops and sidewalks in Fort Collins.
6. Community News and Updates:
a. Reichow told the commission about the use of Handicap spaces for the
use of product placement at Ace Hardware in Fort Collins.

Luna moved to adjourn. Schlicting seconded.
