Call to Order: 12:20
1. Introductions
2. Approval of February Minutes: Hueber moved to approve. Schilicting
seconded.
3. Open Discussion: No open discussion.
4. New Business:
a. Hueber spoke about the subcommittee meeting on March 12th
2015
where the Work Plan was finalized.
b. Schilicting and Marr have talked to the Fort Collins Police Department
about their willingness to come and speak to the COD about Disability
training. Hueber has done some research on training that other
departments have used and what may be available to Fort Collins. The
COD would like to have an open dialog with law-enforcement and
emergency personnel at our May meeting. Followed by COD
recommendations if needed.
c. Schilicting brought to the commission the issue of accessible bathrooms
in new housing in Fort Collins. He informed the COD of the need for roll-
in showers. This need is not being met for many in our community.
d. Liaison Boards where assigned, expectations and ideas discussed.
5. Old Business:
a. Person-First festival: The COD will not take the lead for this event.
Ideas where discussed about incorporating the idea of Person-First into
the Mayors Awards.
6. Adjourn:
Schilicthig moved to adjourn. Marr seconded.
