REGULAR MEETING
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 6th, 2016
YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD
DATE: Wednesday, January 6th, 2016
LOCATION: Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 Willow St, Fort Collins, CO 80524
TIME: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Present:
Nela Mohan, Betsy Pruznick, Nicholas Lin, Naitra Ramchander, Bekki Nord, Vivian Bear, Katie
Ko, Justin Moritz
Community members:
Megan Ronquillo
Absent:
Calvin Flammini
Staff Present: Marc Rademacher and Aaron Harris (Staff Liaison), Anne Bierbower (Civic
Engagement Liaison), and Christine Macrina (Boards and Commissions Coordinator)
• Motion to call the meeting to order made by Betsy Pruznick at 5:40 p.m. seconded by
Nicholas Lin
• Approval of Minutes: Betsy Pruznick motioned to approve the minuets, Justin Moritz
seconded
• Chairman’s Report - none
• The pinwheel project with the Youth Advisory Council will continue as planned. Date
and time TBD
• Community Chalkboard Update
- Invite the parks board Chairman
- Create a presentation on the chalkboard by next meeting
- Clean up services will be taken care of if it is next to the city offices
- Where do the funds come (parks, arts and public places, grant, ect.)
- Respond with feedback by next meeting
• Bullying project ideas
- Middle and High school
- Create Flyers to spread the word
- Short term project vs. long term
- Quote about bullying on the chalkboard
- Have it before finals week
- Make it into a campaign
- Try not to have the Community Chalkboard and the bullying project overlap
- Have just a committee working on it
- Create and respond to an email strand by next meeting
- Get other groups or organizations involved
- Ask the Loveland YAC if they would like to join
• Other issues that would be interesting:
- Look at 6 month plan
- Transport
- west Nile
- budget plan
- landfill

• Adjournment: Betsy Pruznick motioned to adjourn at 6:33 p.m., Nela Mohan seconded
the motion. Motion unanimously passed.
