Meeting called to order at 1:00 pm.
Citizen Participation and Plan Member Comments
John Voss informed the Committee that a Councilmember is asking Staff to look into the
implications of the Plan divesting from companies that support the occupation of Palestine and
the Western Bank. This would require a change to GERP’s investment policy and would impact
the Plan’s portfolio. GERP invests in funds rather than in individual companies; so GERP would
have to divest from entire funds if the funds included an affected company.
John Voss noted that Jenny Lopez Filkins and Harold Hall have prepared information on the
impact such a move would have on the Plan in response to a service area request. This
information will be provided to the Committee.
Approval of Minutes from October 9 Meeting
Jim Lathrop moved to approve the November 13, 2014 minutes. John Voss seconded the
motion. Minutes approved unanimously.
Review Draft 2014 Annual Report to City Council
Harold Hall presented the Draft 2014 Annual Report to City Council, a report filed each year in
response to the year’s Work Plan. The Committee was given the draft ahead of time to review.
Angelina Sanchez-Sprague asked for any recommended changes to the draft. None were
made.
