Introductions Not Necessary. 2. Approval of June Minutes Motion to Approve – Devereaux, Second - Hueber Approved - Unanimous 3. Open Discussion General Public None. 4. New Business a. Trail Study 2012 – Craig Foreman - COFC Tabled. b. Midtown Urban Design Plan Megan Bolin stated the City needs a cohesive design for the buildings and streets between Harmony and Prospect. The goals of the design plan are:  Enhance connectivity along and across College Avenue  Integrate the Mason Trail and MAX (BRT) stops with other pedestrian connections  Develop a parking strategy that supports desired densities  Provide clear guidelines for site planning, architecture, and massing of buildings  Identify catalyst sites  Provide way-finding and signage recommendations She provided COD members with a handout of the project overview and timeline. Pedestrian Assessment Meeting Rob Mosbey is the Engineering Project Manager for what the COD has been referring to as “The Street and Sidewalk Survey”. He presented a PowerPoint showing the problem areas that have already been identified by this project. This is a continuous project to identify high priority needs in the highest pedestrian areas such as; CSU, Old Town and college avenue. The project findings will go before City Council in October to prioritize needs and discuss funding and budgets. d. Transfort Regional Transportation Info Emma McArdle introduced Saundra Dowling and Beth Vogelsang of the North Front Range Transit Vision Team. Transfort is wanting input from the community as to their unmet transportation needs. Saundra and Beth are conducting outreach to citizens, businesses, agencies, etc., in an effort to identify these needs. Feedback can be e-mailed to Beth at beth@ovllc.com. 5. Old Business a. Elder Abuse Forum Myles Crane had fliers for the Elder Abuse Forum. The COD is partnering with the Human Relations Commission at this event. It will be Monday, October 22, 2012 from 4:30 to 7:30pm. It will be held at the Fort Collins Senior Center located at 1200 Raintree Drive. Interested individuals can register at http://col.st/QO1KcF. b. Mayor’s Awards Ceremony Planning Nomination cards have been sent out. The sign language interpreter has been notified. The trophies are ready for names and Coon has contacted Sarah Kyle with The Coloradoan. COD will go over the nominations at the September meeting. 6. Community News and Updates The Grassroots Festival and Pride in the Park Parade will be held on September 29.
