Staff Liaison: Aimee Jensen A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authoritywas held on December 6, 2010 in Municipal Court, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: Bronwyn Scurlock, Assistant City Attorney Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Agenda Review Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated there were no changes to the agenda. Approval of Minutes Judge Lane approved the minutes from November 8, 2010. Hearing on a New Application from J.C. Restaurants II, LLC for a Hotel -Restaurant Liquor License at Castillon's Mexican Restaurant, 4010 South College Avenue, Approved John Castillon, representative for JC Restaniants II, LLC, was sworn. He stated he currently has a liquor license located in the County, but will be shutting it down and opening at this new location January 3, 2011. Mr. Castillon stated he currently has a liquor license in Larimer County will be shutting it down and opening January 3 at the new location. He stated they will not have a bar area and that he anticipates their alcohol sales to be only 10%. Mr. Castillon stated he will be fencing in the patio early next spring. He stated he has received liquor training in the past and has hired Oedipus, Inc., to provide training for him and his employees. Mr. Castillon stated they card nearly every patron and that he has a current copy of the liquor code on premise. He stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code would be immediately fired. Mr. Castillon stated he has been in the restaurant business for 28 years and that he enjoys it. Max Scott, representative for Oedipus, Inc., was swom. He detailed the petitioning process and stated that Castillon's had positive name recognition in the neighborhood and received many positive comments in support of this application. Mr. Scott stated they do not guarantee survey results. He stated that 98% signed the petition in support of this application. December 6, 2010 Judge Lane adopted resolution 2010-13 approving an application from J.C. Restaurants II, LLC, for a hotel -restaurant liquor license at Castillon's Mexican Restaurant, 4010 South College Avenue. Other Business Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated she has the 2011 Liquor Licensing Authoritycalendar for the Authority to adopt. Judge Lane adopted the 2011 Liquor Licensing Authority Calendar.
