Regular Meeting - August 4, 2008

A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on August 4, 2008 in Municipal Court,
Justice Center, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.

Agenda Review
Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated that Luscious Nectar is present to be heard under Other Business to
request the Authority reconsider the revocation of the hotel -restaurant liquor license at Luscious Nectar,
222 Linden Street.
Request from Grandbois Enterprises, LLC
dba Crazy Jack's Saloon to Change, Alter, or Modify the
Licensed Premises at 6520 South College Avenue on August 23, 2008, Approved
Thomas Grandbois, representative for Grandbois Enterprises, LLC, stated he will be adding the beer
garden to the front of the building for an August 23, 2008 fund raiser. He stated there will be no
changes to the interior of the building. Mr. Grandbois stated he anticipates 500-700 people throughout
the day. He stated he has added additional staff to monitor the beer garden.
Judge Lane approved the request from Grandbois Enterprises, LLCy dba CrazyJack's Saloon to Change,
Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises at 6520 South College Avenue on August 23, 2008.
Other Business
Zach Wilson, attorney representing Luscious Nectar Corporation, stated he is present to request the
Authority vacate the order to revoke the hotel -restaurant liquor license for Luscious Nectar
Corporation, located at 222 Linden Street. Mr. Willson stated he the licensee was not properly served
notice of the hearing.
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao presented her arguments in opposition to vacating the order to
revoke.
August 4, 2008
Judge Lane overturned the order to revoke based on failure of proper notice and set the matter for
hearing for August 5, 2008.
Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
