Staff Liaison: Aimee Jensen A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on January26, 2009 in Municipal Court, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: JennyLopezFilkins, Assistant City Attorney Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Robert Younger, Liquor Enforcement Officer Agenda Review Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated that there were no changes to the agenda as presented. Approval of Minutes Judge Lane approved the minutes from December 15, 2008. Transfer of Ownership of The Black -Eyed Pea, 4312 South College Avenue from BE Colorado Restaurants, LLC to RMR Colorado, LLC, Approved Kelly Pietrs, representative for RMR Colorado, LLC, stated the applicant was present to testify. Ms. Pietrs stated the owners have extensive experience in the administrative portion of the restaurant business. Mr. Shaw was sworn. He detailed the ownership and that they have purchased 9 of the Black -Eyed Peas. Mr. Shaw detailed the financing of this transfer. He stated he and Mr. Laughlin were formerly employed byBEP Colorado Restaurants, LLC, managing the Black -Eyed Peas. Mr. Shawdetailed the training requirements for any employee involved in the sale and service of alcohol. He stated all the managers are submitted to an extensive background investigation in addition to the City's background investigation. Mr. Shaw stated all employees have a short meeting prior to each shift and the safe serve date is discussed. He stated he is aware Fort Collins is a college town. Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of The Black -Eyed Pea, 4312 South College Avenue from BEP Colorado Restaurants, LLC to RMR Colorado, LLC. January 26, 2009 Registration of Robert Allison as Manager of The Black -Eyed Pea, 4312 South College Avenue, Approved Robert Allison, manager applicant, stated he has worked for the Black -Eyed Pea since 1989. He stated he has not a liquor code violation. Mr. Allison stated he has attended Liquor Enforcement Younger's training and that he will attend TIP's training on February 17, 2009. He stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code would be immediately terminated. Judge Lane approved the registration of Robert Allison as Manager of The Black -Eyed Pea, 4312 South College Avenue. Adjournment e�z ed at 1:31 p.m. �� .......... . S O- .N' Municipal Judge
