Staff Liaison: Aimee Jensen A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authoritywas held on April 4, 2011 in Municipal Court, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: Bronwyn Scurlock, Assistant CityAttomey Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Kyle Bendzsa, Liquor Enforcement Officer Agenda Review Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated that there are no changes to the agenda as presented. Request from Road 34 Deli & Tavern, LLC, dba Road 34 Bike Bar to Change, Alter or Modify the Licensed Premises at 1213 West Elizabeth Street, Approved WillOverbagh, representative for Road 34 Deli &Tavern, LLC, brieflydescribed the proposed changes. He stated that the patio addition will also be enclosed and will only add 2-3 tables. Judge Lane approved the request from Road 34 Deli & Tavern, LLC dba Road 34 Bike Bar to change, alter or modify the licensed premises at 1213 West Elizabeth Street. Hearing on a New Application from RJ's Wine & Spirits, LLC for a retail liquor store license at NancyK. Landi, representative for RJ's Wine & Spirits, LLC, was sworn. Ms. Landi detailed how the business would be run. She stated that theyrequire each person who is tasting wine or beer to sign -in. Ms. Landi stated they will card anyone that appears to be under the age of 40. She detailed when they will not sell to a patron. Ms. Landi stated they will always have 2-3 employees in the store. She stated that they will have a current copy of the liquor code on premise. Tom Landi, representative for RJ's Wine & Spirits, LLC, was sworn. He stated at the beginning that at least one owner would be on premise at all times. Mr. Landi stated that any employee found in violation of the liquor code will likely be terminated. Max Scott, Oedipus, Inc., was sworn. Mr. Scott described the petitioning process and how his employees are prepared to canvass the neighborhood. He stated this is a very good result for a retail liquor store license application and that they received many comments in support of this application. April 4, 2011 Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2011-07 approving an application from Rj's Wine & Spirits, LLC for a retail liquor store license at Rj's Wine & Spirits, 4321 Corbett Drive, Unit # 100.
