Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: Bronwyn Scurlock, Assistant CityAttorney Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Kyle Bendzsa, Liquor Enforcement Officer Agenda Review Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated that there are no changes to the agenda as presented. Ayyroval of Minutes Judge Lane continued consideration of the February 7, 2011 minutes to March 7, 2011. Registration of Michael Genot as Manager of MacKenzie Place, 4750 Pleasant Oak Drive, Continued to March 21, 2011 Deputy CGty Clerk Jensen stated that Michael Genot is ill and can not attend today's hearing. She stated his manager registration application has been re -scheduled to March 21, 2011. Request from CO Beach House, LLC to Change, Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises at 125 South College Avenue, Approved Brad Kassenbrock, representative for CO Beach House, LLC, apologized for missing the February7' meeting. Mr. Kassenbrock stated that this modification of premise application is a result of an inspection done bya State Liquor Enforcement investigator. He stated they are including the basement where they are storing beer and liquor. Mr. Kassenbrock stated they are also reconfiguring the bar on the patio. Judge Lane approved the request from CO Beach House, LLC to change, alter, or modify the licensed premises at 125 South College Avenue. February 28, 2011 Transfer of Ownership of The Cork Club and Grill, 313 West Drake Road from Big Horn, Club & Grill, Inc., to Mallouf Ventures, LLC and Trade Name Change to The Passport Restaurant, Approved Mitchell Mallouf, representative for Mallouf Vetnures, LLC, stated he and his wife, Sara have worked for Red Robin. He stated they will be serving Italian, Mexican and American cuisine. Mr. Mallouf stated they are aware of current problems with the current licensee. Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of The Cork Club and Grill, 313 West Drake Road from Big Horn, Club & Grill, inc., to Mallouf Ventures, LLC and Trade Name Change to The Passport Restaurant. Hearing on a New Application from Preliterate & Legendary, Inc., for a beer and wine license at The Old Firehouse Pub, 232 Walnut Street, hearing continued to March 7, 2011 Nathan Myrick, representative for Preliterate & Legendary, Inc., was swom. He briefly described the proposed application. Mr. Myrick stated the proposed location is approximately 700 square feet and will be a local pub providing over 100 beer selections. He stated he will be serving cheese, antipasto and dessert accompaniments. Mr. Myrick stated his targeted clientele include local residents, pre and post dinner, theater crowds, and after -work professionals. Max Scott, representative for Oedipus, Inc., was sworn. He briefly described the petitioning process. Mr. Scott stated this petition shows strong support in the neighborhood for this application. Allen Dunton, 235 Linden Street, cross examined Mr. Scott. In response to a question from the Authority, Mr. Scott stated he would re-petition,the neighborhood. Judge Lane postponed this hearing to March 7, 2011 to allow Mr. Dunton and Mr. Myrick to gather more information. Hearing on a New Application from Baja in the Rockies, LLC for a hotel -restaurant liquor license at Wahoo's Fish Taco, 2310 East Harmony Road, Approved Melissa Klotz, representative for Baja in the Rockies, LLC, was sworn. She stated this is their fourth location in Colorado. Ms. Klotz stated the emphasis is the sale of meals and that alcohol sales are only a small percentage of their total sales. She stated all patrons ordering alcohol will be required to present an id. Ms. Klotz briefly described the training all employees are required to complete. She stated depending on the circumstances surrounding an employee Carol Johnson, representative for Esquire Petitioning, LLC, was sworn. She briefly described the 2 February28, 2011 petitioning process. Ms. Johnson stated this petition shows strong support for this hotel -restaurant liquor license application. Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2011-04 approving an application from Baja in the Rockies, LLC for a hotel -restaurant liquor license at the Wahoo's Fish Tacos, 2310 East Harmony Road. Registration of Quinn Gilliard as Manager of Quinn Gilliard, manager applicant, stated he did not intentionally fail to disclose information on his Individual History Record. Mr. Gilliam stated he has been working for Wahoo's Fish Taco for several years and opened the Wahoo's Fish Tacos at 1233 South Colorado Blvd., in Denver. He briefly described the training he has completed and the training all employees are required to complete before they are able to sell alcohol. Judge Lane approved the registration of Quinn Gilliard as manager of Wahoo's Fish Tacos, 2310 East Harmony Road. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 2:14 p.m 4�A1a�S:L- Municipal Judge
