Christophe Fabvre, Chair 227-0282 Mayor Doug Hutchinson, Council Liaison 416-2154 Mike Freeman, Staff Liaison 416-2253 Erin Gill, Minute taker 221-6505 Commission Members Present Christophe Febvre (Chair), Sarah Hach, Bill Timpson, Rick Price, Stu McMillan, Blue Hovatter, Kevin Shaw, Jim Clark Commission Members Absent: Beena Bawa, Guests: Ann Hutchison City Staff Present: Mike Freeman Erin Gill Agenda Item 1 — Meeting Call to Order Meeting called to order 11:03 a.m. Public Comment None Agenda Item 2 — Approval of Minutes Unanimous approval of minutes dated 7/17, 07/31, 08/29, 09/18, 10/8 Agenda Item 3 — Open Discussion & Agenda Item 7 - Future Agenda item review Open discussion focused on scheduling per City Council's request that all Boards and Commissions be presented with the updated Bike Plan by David Kemp the City Bike Coordinator. The commission decided Fort Collins biking and the economic ties that has for the city will be further discussed and explored at the next meeting Nov 7, 2007 with anticipation of a presentation by David Kemp. Agenda Item 4 — 2008 Budget overview from Mike Freeman Referencing The City Manager' s 2008-2009 Recommended Budget for Economic Health, Mike concentrated on the offers drilling platform emphasizing the funded Development Review Center totaling $3.5 million. The Development Review Center is a consolidated funded offer that is to support staff in its efforts to enhance service to the community through coordination and organizational efficiencies. Furthermore, collaboration and partnership were emphasized as key elements of funded offers and overall strategies. Agenda Item 5 — Discuss Review of EAC Economic Health Document/ Position Statement The EAC discussed the finishing touches of the Position Statement* which is to serve as a broad recommendation to the Cities' implementation strategy for the 2008-2009 Budget. Consensus agreed the Economic Advisory Commission's Position Statement is a malleable document that has the potential of being revised in the future. * A Final copy of the Position Statement can be found in the minutes of the October 31 , 2007 meeting or upon request from the City Manager's Office 970-221-6505. Agenda Item 6 - N/A Agenda Item 8 — Discuss next meeting time, location and agenda The consensus of the commission is to meet the first Wednesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. starting November 7, 2007.
