Regular meeting —March 4, 2009

Call meeting to Order:
The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairperson, Lisa Parker at 7:10 pm because the Chairperson
was late.
Approval of Minutes:
Lisa Parker had a correction for the minutes from February 4. In the Chairman's report it was the Fossil
Ridge principal who told Lisa that it would be impossible to stagger start times at the area schools
because of bus schedules. The minutes from February 4, as amended, were approved after a motion by
Caroline which was seconded by Brittany (4-0).
Agenda Review:
There was no agenda review.
Citizen Participation:
There was no citizen participation.
Chairman's report:
There was no chairman's report.
Other business:
1) Results areas — The 7 results areas were unanimously supported by the Youth Advisory Board.
2) Work plan — Several things were suggested for the work plan for 2009 including, a traffic project,
painting signs in town, and a speaker series. Brittany suggested that any items included in the
work plan need to be more specific. Then projects can be adopted and assigned to a person or
persons on the Youth Advisory Board with a deadline for their completion. It was first suggested
that each person take one of the areas compiled by Lisa and provide specific details for each of the
items in her assigned area. However the final decision was for each member to look at their
original suggestions for the work plan and provide specifics for them.
3) Agenda preparation — It was decided that the last item of business at each meeting would be to
prepare an agenda for the next meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 pm with a motion from Kai which was seconded by Brittany.(4-0).
