HomeMy WebLinkAboutArt In Public Places Board - Minutes - 10/15/2008ART IN PUBLIC PLACES MINUTES Wednesday, October 15, 2008 Lincoln Center Canyon West Room MEMBERS PRESENT: York, Ray Tollison, Craig Russell, Liliane Francuz, Jane Nevrivy MEMBERS ABSENT: Jane Liska-Smith, Lee Needham STAFF PRESENT: Ellen Martin, Anne Bossen, Jill Stilwell, Michelle Provaznik, Link Mueller CRB LIAISON: Ann Wilmsen, present I. Call to order. 3:35 p.m - Mr. York II. Consideration of the current agenda III. Review of Minutes from the meeting on September 16, 2008: Ms. Nevrivy made a motion to accept the Minutes as presented Ms. Francuz seconded the motion Unanimously Approved IV. Citizen Participation: Two CSU students were in attendance for a journalism class. V. Gardens on Spring Creek Art Donation: Michelle Provaznik, of the gardens on Spring Creek, gave an overview of the project. Discussion was had. Donation evaluation forms were filled out by board members. Scores were tallied; the concept was accepted. VI. Pickle Plant Update: Ms. Martin gave an overview of the project's progress from the beginning to the present. Mr. Mueller, of Utilities, provided extra commentary on the technical details of the project, and how utilities will work with and benefit from the project. Discussion was had. VII.2009 Pedestrian Paver Project: Ms Martin gave an overview of the project from past years. She also spoke about the project funding for the upcoming year. Discussion was had regarding the continuation of the project in 2009. A goal was stated to get the RFP out as soon as possible to give teachers more time to work it into their curricula. The Board agreed to go ahead with the project. VIII. Staff Reports: Ms. Martin handed out a packet with updates on current projects. IX. Other Business: Ms Stilwell invited board members to the Lincohi Center's 30`" anniversary gala event. X. Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 4:54 p.m. by Mr. York Respectfully Submitted, Anne Bossert
