Agenda Item 4 — Election of Chair and Vice Chair 2008 EAC
MacMillan motioned:
Current Chair Christophe Febvre be re-elected for 2008 term.
Timpson second and the motion passed unanimously.
Febvre motioned:
Current Vice -Chair Kevin Shaw be re-elected for 2008 term.
Price second and the motion passed unanimously.
Agenda Item 5/6/7 — Mike Freeman overview of Uniquely Fort Collins & Gailmarie
Kimmel presentation of Be Local Program
Gailmarie, Mike and The EAC collaboratively discussed the following Local Living
Economy Project and how it ties in with the EAC/City's Economic Vision for a healthy
economy that reflects the values of our unique community in a changing world.
The Be Local program and coupon book bring together locally owned and independent
businesses (Local Living Economy Project, 501 c3 Non -Profit Organization) that make
up part of the Uniquely Fort Collins Cluster. The Be Local Program drives visibility and
exposure to businesses and helps them identify their marketing plans for local
communication making a positive local economic impact.
Follow up Be Local recommendation draft to City Council scheduled for May 7.
