Annual Mayor's Awards presentation and luncheon. This was a change from the
original date of October 16t'. Mayor Doug Hutchinson presented each award to the
following winners:
Employee of the Year: Ryan Davenport
Spirit of Fort Collins: Beryl `Brownie' McGraw
Dorothy Lasley Memorial: Denise Bettenhausen
Service Provider of the Year: Ensight Skills Center
Volunteers of the Year: LAPP (Larimer Animal -People Partnership) &
Delta Society Pet Partners
Other nominees for Mayor's Awards were: Janet Bayless, Joseph Akmakjian, and
Dance Express, and Nancy Jackson.
This special meeting was attended by Laura Burnett, Mary Elizabeth Lenahan,
Susan Williams, Steve Rierson, Vivian Armendariz, Beverly Hageseth, Kimberlee
Imig, Lydia Wiatrowski, all COD members; and Bruce Byrne, the City Liaison.
Wade Troxell, Mayor Hutchinson, and Diggs Brown, City Council members.
Connie Fredman, Larry Schmitz, Anne Solis, Brenda Woodmansee, Cathy Sands,
Carole Kitchell, Dan Moyer, Denny Bettenhausen, Melody Bettenhausen, Tyler
James, Tobey Yaden, Joe Skelton, Deanne Skelton, Gordon Michel, Harry Meyer,
Marcus Havlack, Dee Havlack, Brownie McGraw, Debra Hansen, Don Unger, Ted
Blevins, Earl Ray, Frances Ford, Karen Furst, Frank Davenport, Lola Davenport,
Christy Swinson,Ryan Davenport, and Mark DeGeorge.
Mark Grant from the City Television videotaped the awards ceremony.
A catered `fiesta' luncheon was served to all who attended. Thank you to Bruce
Byrne for facilitating the event. Clean up and clear out was at 1:45.
