Special Meeting - July 9, 2008

A special meeting of the Liquor licensing Authoritywas held on July9, 2008 in Municipal Court, Justice
Center, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.
Staff in attendance: Teresa Ablao, Senior Assistant City Attorney
Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk
Robert Younger, Liquor Enforcement Officer
JennyLopezFillans, Assistant City Attorney
Judge Lane stated this hearing was a continuation from July 7, 2008.
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao called Jordan Carrier to testify. He was swom. In response to
questions from Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao, Mr. Carrier detailed the events of October 12,
2008.
Stewart Olive cross examined Mr. Carrier. He testified as to his injuries.
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao re -directed Mr. Carrier.
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao stated she had no more witnesses.
Stewart Olive called Sandra Harrison to testify. Ms. Harrison was sworn. In response to questions from
Mr. Olive, Ms. Harrison detailed the events of October 12, 2008. She stated she was a cocktail waitress
at the Drunken Monkey on October 12, 2008.
Mr. Olive cross-examined.
Ms. Harrison was dismissed.
Mr. Olive called Taverishnma Tor-Agbidye to testify. Mr. Tor-Agbidye was sworn. He testified as to
the training he has received as the security manager. Mr. Tor-Agbidye described the events that
occurred on October 12, 2008.
Senior Assistant CityAttomeyAblao cross-examined Mr. Tor-Agbidye. He stated Mr. Carrier and Mr.
Saldua had slipped in some water as they were carrying him out.
Mr. Olive re -directed Mr. Tor-Agbidye.

Mr. Olive called Sonny Saldua to testify. He was swom. Mr. Saldua stated he was acting manager on
October 12, 2008.
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao cross-examined Mr. Saldua. He stated he does not remember
when his shirt was ripped. Mr. Saldua stated he was not in fear of his safety inside the bar.
Mr. Olive re -directed Mr. Saldua.
Mr. Olive stated he has no other witnesses.
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao called Liquor Enforcement Office Younger. He was sworn.
Officer Younger stated he responded to the Drunken Monkey at 1:23 a.m., on October 13, 2008. He
stated Mr. Tor-Agbidye did not have any injures he could see. Officer Younger described the training
he provides liquor licensees.
Mr. Olive cross-examined Officer Younger. He stated there was blood on the floor when he fast
arrived at the Drunken Monkey.
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao re -directed.
Mr. Olive re -butted.
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao gave closing arguments.
Mr. Olive gave closing arguments.
Senior Assistant Gry Attorney Ablao gave additional closing arguments.
Judge Lane stated she will issue an order regarding the disposition of this hearing and have her
Secretary, Deputy City Clerk Jensen provide copies to both sides.
