Agenda Item 2 — Approval of Minutes
Unanimous approval of minutes 01 /02/08
Agenda Item 3 - Public Comment
Public comment focused on Fort Collins economic business, community and tourism
marketing strategies relying on city partnerships and working collaboratively with
NCEDC/ Site Selectors. Web portals marketing Fort Collins community resources are in
the process of creation at this time.
Agenda Item 4 —Mason Corridor discussion continued by Mike Freeman
Mason Corridor EPS Consultant PowerPoint slides can be referenced in Jan 2, 2008
Economic Advisory Commission minutes.
Mason Corridor Economic benefits to the community include marketing greater
downtown accessibility for pedestrian, rider and bike traffic to commercial and
residential development companies. Potential local matching city funds of $4-5 million
while leveraging $58 million in federal funds could generate an estimated $6.1 million in
property tax revenue, $14.4 million in retail sales tax revenue over the next 25 years and
$108.3 million estimated projected construction benefits. The next meeting, Economic
Advisory Commission will be voting on their Mason Corridor recommendation to City
Council.
