HomeMy WebLinkAboutRetirement Committee - Minutes - 03/16/1983• • MINUTES CITY OF FORT COLLINS EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT BOARD MARCH 16, 1983 MEMBERS PRESENT: TIME AND PLACE: Meeting was called to retirement application for review and action Rupert Coleman Ron Wood, Mollie Mercer, Deb McClurkin, Don Botteron, Angie Powell 1:30 p.m. - Ronald R. Wood's Office order March 16, 1983 at 1:35 p.m. One was submitted before the board members as follows: 26.5 years with City Light and Power Department TERMINATION: March 31, 1983 Mr. Coleman was advised of his options and chose the 50% joint and survivor option. The board, after reviewing the actuarial valuation performed by Don Mazanec of A.S. Hansen, Inc., approved the Early Retirement of Mr. Coleman by a motion from Ron Wood and a second by Deb McClurkin in the amount of $603.36 per month for his lifetime, and an amount equal to one-half month's benefit will be paid to his surviving benefi- ciary, Mary Johnson. Monthly benefit payments will begin April 30, 1983. Upon the request of Mr. Coleman, his retirement check will be mailed to: Route 1, Box 313, Hinton, Oklahoma 73047. The board also discussed action to temporarily suspend checks for Elsie Mannon until further information is received regarding the action of Equitable Life Insurance. Mrs. Mannon will be contacted for clarification and a letter of release. A motion by Ron Wood was seconded by Angie Powell. Formal action will be taken at the next meeting.
