Wood's Office Don Botteron Deb McClurkin Mollie Mercer Angie Powell Ronald R. Wood The Meeting of the General Employees' Retirement Committee on Tuesday, July 19, 1983 was called to order by Don Botteron. Retirement benefits for Ms. Parke Langholf were discussed. Calculations were obtained from A.S. Hansen and were presented to Ms. Langholf on July 14, 1983. Ms. Langholf chose the Normal Benefit Retirement Option of $356.11. Because of the fact that Ms. Langholf's normal retirement date is October 22, 1984, the Retirement Committee voted to postpone approval of her retirement until Ms. Langholf was notified, clarifying her options. The two options available to her are: 1. Payment of $356.11 at normal retirement benefits, with payment starting November 1, 1984 2. Payment of $328.41 at early retirement benefits with payments starting September 1, 1983. Motion was made by Don Botteron for Ms. Langholf to be contacted by the Committee Staff Support. Options would be presented to her, and a telephone poll approving desired option be conducted. Motion seconded by Mollie Mercer. A brief discussion of the Actuarial Report submitted by A.S. Hansen took place. Because of Ron Wood's absence, it was decided that a follow-up meeting be set up to discuss this report as well as cost -of -living increases. Angie Powell and Don Botteron had questions regarding the Actuarial Report which need to be answered at the next meeting. With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned by Don Botteron. APPROVED: Donn Botteron, Chairman ' cc: John E. Arnold, City Manager /cj onald R. Wood, Finance Director
