GENERAL EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT COMMITTEE
Minutes of Meeting on September 12, 1983

A brief meeting was held on September 12, 1983 to discuss cost -of -living increases.
The meeting was called to order by Deb McClurkin.
Members of the Board reviewed a letter and proposed Resolution submitted by
Don Mazanec of A.S. Hansen which proposed percentage increases. Motion was
made to present the Resolution to City Council. Motion seconded by Angie Powell
and Mollie Mercer. Ron Wood will supply a table and further details of the
Resolution to Council as soon as possible.
Mollie Mercer presented a question to the Board regarding whether the City
can or cannot hire back a retired employee, on a part-time basis, should the
department need additional help. Mollie was referred to the Legal Department
due to the Administrative nature of the question.
It was also noted that Ellen Thexton has expired. She will be receiving a death
benefit instead of a monthly benefit amount.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
