Council Liaison: Ray Martinez II Staff Liaison: Aimee Jensen A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on June 7, 2004 in Municipal Court, Justice Center, 201 LaPorte. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: Teresa Ablao, Assistant City Attorney Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Robert Younger, Liquor Enforcement Officer Agenda Review Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated the hearing on a new application for PhoDuy4, Inc., has been postponed to July 12, 2004 and that the show cause hearing for Lemay Liquors, Inc., has been postponed to June 21, 2007. Consent Agenda The Consent Agenda is intended to expedite the meeting and allow the Authority to spend its time and emergency on the important items on a lengthy agenda. Items on the Consent Agenda re(1) routine items; and (2) those of no perceived controversy. Anyone may request that an item be "pulled" off the Consent Agenda and considered separately. Items pulled from the Consent Agenda will be considered separately immediately following adoption of the Consent Agenda. a. Manager Registration of Leon Klemisch as manager of Perkins Restaurant 310 South College Avenue. b. Consideration of an Application from Res ite Care for a Special events Permit at 2620 East Prospect Road, Suite 100 C. Consideration of an Application from the Downtown Business Association for a Special Events Permit at First Communitv Bank at Oak Street Plaza (Oak Street at College Avenue). d. Request from Fort Collins Warehouse Liquors Inc dba Fort Collins Warehouse Liquors to Change, Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises at 238 Linden Street Judge Lane adopted the Consent Agenda. June 7, 2004 Registration of John Solliday as Manager of Fort Collins Hooters, 2631 South College Avenue Approved John Solliday, manager applicant, briefly reviewed his background. He described the training requirements for all employees. Mr. Solliday stated that any employee found in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated. He stated he has a current copy of the liquor code on premise. Judge Lane approved the registration of John Solliday as manager of Fort Collins Hooters, 2631 South College Avenue. Transfer of Ownership of The Service Bar, 126 A West Mountain Avenue, from The Service Bar Partners to The Service Bar, Inc Approved Eric Davis, representative for The Service Bar Partners and The Service Bar, Inc., stated the partnership has been dissolved. He stated Ryan Straabe has left the partnership and that the lease is in the name of the corporation. Mr. Davis stated there are no changes to the premises and that there are no new investors. Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of The Service Bar, 126 A West Mountain Avenue, from The Service Bar Partners to The Service Bar, Inc. Show Cause Hearing for Liquors of Colorado, Inc., dba Spirits. 2601 South Lemay Avenue #18 Approved Dave Gorman, representative for Liquors of Colorado, Inc., stated he admits to the violation. Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao summarized the stipulation agreement. She stated that the Licensee has agreed to a 37 day suspension, 7 days served, with 30 days held in abeyance for 1 year for violating C.R.S., 12-47-901(1)(a.5), permitting the sale or service of alcohol beverages to a person under the age of 21 years. Judge Lane approved the stipulation agreement as presented. The meeting adjourned at 2:00 p.m. ecret• Adjournment Municipal Judge 2
