HomeMy WebLinkAboutLandmark Preservation Commission - Minutes - 06/10/1985n LANDMARK PRESERVATION COMMISSION Minutes of June 10, 1985 The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. at the Old Firehouse, 232 Walnut. Commission members present included Dick Beardmore, Carol Tunner and Glenda McCall. This constitutes a quorum. Commission members absent included Wayne Sundberg, Michael Ehler and Sally Ketcham. Staff present include Sherry Albertson -Clark and Kayla Ballard. Fort Collins Saddle Shop - 15 Old Town Square 1133 Applicant: Brian Oliver representing Wayne Miller Request: Approval for window signage Brian Oliver gave a brief summary of the proposed signage. He stated that additional signage is requested on each pane of glass and on the door. The lettering would be 2 square feet in size and read "Custom Leatherwork". The lettering would be red with white outline and the skull would be white with blue detail. Carol questioned the writing placement in the windows. Brian explained the location of the lettering. Glenda questioned the color of the awning. Dick stated is is a salmon red or possibly beige. Glenda moved to approve the application as proposed. Carol seconded. Motion to approve passed 3-0. Pet Specialties - 211 Jefferson Street Applicant: Diane Moore Request: Approval for signage on exterior wall The applicant did not show for this item. Sherry stated the sign over the doorway is 3' X 4' and 6 inches above the beginning of the clerestory, hung with a chain and is of a wood material. After waiting for the applicant, the Commission proceeded on with the agenda. June 10, 1985 LPC Njtes Page 2 CI Approval of Minutes for the May 1, 1985 and May 22, 1985 meetings. The minutes of the May 1st and May 22nd meetings were approved as submitted. The Commission briefly discussed the windows above the Food Co-op. Other Business Dick stated that the Kissock Block has been added to the National Register. The meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
