HomeMy WebLinkAboutDowntown Development Authority - Minutes - 12/10/1984dMDOWNTOWN 0 DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY 281 NORTH COLLEGE AVENUE, FORT COLLINS, COLORADO 80524 DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY Special Directors Meeting December 10, 1984 The Board of Directors of the Downtown Development Authority met in special session in the Council Information Center of the new Munici- pal Building at 3:00 p.m., December 10, 1984, There were present: Earl Wilkinson, Chairman presiding Dave McGarry Ray Dixon Barbara Rutstein Jim Reidhead Barbara Schofield Staff: Also: Bill Kingsbury, Executive Director Chip Steiner Kathy Field Jody McAfee Greg Denton Curt Smith Phyllis Stewart Bob Lee Absent: Dan Larsen Chuck Wanner In a status report on the parking garage, Bill Kingsbury stated that the facility was nearing completion with only a few minor details to be completed in order to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy. Barbara Schofield, seconded by Ray Dixon, moved that the Board go into Executive Session to discuss legal matters pertaining to the parking garage. There were no dissenting votes. i (303) 484-2020 PRESENT ABSENT PARKING IARAGE EXECUTIVE SESSION 1 The Board came out of Executive Session. Earl Wilkinson stated that PARKING the specifications requested by the engineering firm were not GARAGE completely followed concerning the air entrainment of the concrete, which may be a detriment to the longevity of the wearing surface. The DDA will hire an expert to determine the life time of the concrete. Dave McCarry, seconded by Jim Reidhead moved to authorize Greg Denton to contact and hire a qualified engineer to determine if there is a problem with the surface of the parking area. The aye vot was unanimous. Bob Lee announced that the Parking Commission agreed with the County FREE and the City to use Block 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on each PARKING Saturday until Christmas for free parking with a free shuttle circulating around downtown.
