HomeMy WebLinkAboutDowntown Development Authority - Minutes - 09/16/1985ddaDANTOWN 0 DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY 102 REMINGTON STREET, FORT COLLINS, COLORADO 80524 (303) 484-2020 DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY Special Directors Meeting September 16, 1985 The Board of Directors of the Downtown Development Authority met in special session at 7:30 a.m., September 16, 1985 in the DDA Conference Room. There were present: PRESENT Barbara Schofield, Chairman presiding George Betz Barbara Liebler Bill Friedrichsen Eldon Ward Larry Estrada Dan Larsen Chuck Wanner Staff: Bill Kingsbury, Executive Director Chip Steiner Jan Martin Also: Dave Dwyer Bill Wildman Don Berland Absent: ABSENT Earl Wilkinson Barbara Schofield called the meeting to order. Bill Wildman, Senior Vice -President with Boettcher, was present to discuss ways the new bonds could be issued. Eldon Ward moved that $5 million in new bonds be issued seconded by Larry Estrada. A roll call vote was taken to determine the Board members in favor of issuing new bonds. The Board members present (Earl Wilkinson was absent and George Betz had to leave early) were unanimously in favor of issuing $5 million in new bonds. The next item of discussion was the amount of money to escrow in order to cover issuance costs. Barbara Liebler moved that $250,000 be escrowed when the notes are issued with the option of negotiating with the developer to cover any short fall the DDA might incur because of the issuance of the bonds. Eldon Ward seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken. The Board members present were unanimously in favor of this motion. Bill Kingsbury brought up the subject of havin evening meetings in order for the DDA to gain public input on projects being considered by the DDA. Most of the Board members agreed that the hearings were a good idea. Barbara Liebler volunteered to deliver notices for the public hearing on the Pirst Interstate Project. The Board members were encouraged to ask questions of developers publically. There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned. Barbara Liebler, Secretary i ADJOURN
