SUMMARY OF MEETING: LPC recommended to City Council that 1204 West Oak Street
be designated as a local landmark.
CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL: Commission called to order by
Chairwoman Angie Aguilera with a quorum present at 5:30 p.m. at 281 N.
College Ave., Fort Collins, Colorado. Agnes Dix, Alyson McGee, Ian Shuff, and
Heather Donahue were present. Alan Ballou was late. Earen Russell was
excused. Carol Tunner and Karen McWilliams represented City staff.

AGENDA REVIEW: None
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
October 25, 2006 Minutes — Public Input was requested to be rewritten saying "is
there any public input about items not on the agenda?"
November 13, 2006 Minutes — Public Input was requested to be rewritten saying
"Is there any public input about items not on the agenda?" and Other Business
was changed to say "the minutes should reflect that members were reluctant to
recommend that City Council adopt proposed staff changes to the
Demolition/Alteration Review Process (Section 14 of the City Code)." Ms.
Donahue approved the amended minutes; Ms. Dix seconded the amendment. (6-
0).
STAFF REPORTS: Ms. Tunner handed out and article from Preservation
Magazine that described Donald Trump as a preservationist. Ms. McGee stated
that the LPC of Denver was now performing Demolition Review regardless of a
building's age. Ms. McWilliams reminded Members of Saving Places 2007
conference.
COMMISSION MEMBER REPORTS: Ms. Tunner stated that the designation of
the Colorado Building was approved for final reading by City Council on
December 5, 2007.
PUBLIC COMMENT: Chairwoman Aguilera asked if anyone present wished to
discuss any item not on the agenda. There was no comment.

DESIGNATION:
1204 West Oak — David B. Lesher House
Ms. McWilliams read her staff report reviewing the significance, architecture,
history, and recommendation from staff to designate the David B. Lesher House
property. Ms. McGee asked if the stucco was original to the residence. It is
believed that the stucco was not original to the house, but likely done when the
rear addition was built in circa 1929.
Mr. Shuff made a motion to recommend to City Council the Landmark
designation of 1204 West Oak Street, the David B. Lesher House; Ms. Dix
seconded the motion. (6-0).
