Staff Liaison: Aimee Jensen A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on February 5, 2007 in Municipal Court, Justice Center, 201 LaPorte. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: Teresa Ablao, Assistant City Attorney Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Agenda Review Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated there are no changes to the agenda. Request from Front Range Restaurant Concepts, Inc., dba Austin's American Grill to Change, Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises at 100 West Mountain Avenue, Approved Steve Taylor, representative for the applicant, stated the proposed modifications are primarily cosmetic. He stated he has received approval from the necessary City departments. Judge Lane approved the request from Front Range Restaurant Concepts, Inc., dba Austin's American Grill to Change, Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises at 100 West Mountain Avenue. Transfer of Ownership of Diamond Shamrock #671, 1113 West Drake Road, from Valero Diamond Metro, Inc., to Western Convenience Stores, Inc., and Trade Name Change to Western Convenience Stores, Approved Bob VanMeer, representative for the applicant, stated all employees receive training regarding the sale and service of alcohol. He stated any employees found in violation of the liquor code are immediately terminated. Mr. VanMeer stated he will provide the new manager with a current copy of the liquor code. He stated they hire `mystery shoppers' to monitor employees. Mr. VanMeer stated they have not made any changes to the premise. February 5, 2007 Assistant City Attorney Ablao stated the manager must register within 30 days and also attend Liquor Enforcement Younger's training. Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of Diamond Shamrock #671,1113 West Drake Road, from Valero Diamond Metro, Inc., to Western Convenience Stores, Inc., and Trade Name Change to Western Convenience Stores, contingent upon reporting the manager to the Deputy City Clerk and that manager attend Liquor Enforcement Younger's training. Transfer of Ownership of Jasmine Garden, 2721 South College Avenue, from Huang's Brother Corp., to Liujiang, LLC, Continued to February 26, 2007 Judge Lane postponed the hearing to February 26, 2007 to allow Mr. Liu to bring an interpreter and clarify who is the manager. Hearing on a New Application from Glozer, LLC for a Beer and Wine License at Lyric Cinema Caf6, 300 East Mountain Avenue, Approved Josh Glossi and Ben Mozer, representatives for Glozer, LLC, were swom. Mr. Glossi and Mr. Mozer briefly described their background. Mr. Glossi stated he has been the manager at Cozzola's for 5 years and have not had a liquor code violation. He stated he will be responsible for the liquor sales. Mr. Glossi stated they do not anticipate being open past midnight. He stated he will acquire a current copy of the liquor code to keep on premise. Mr. Glossi briefly described the petitioning process. He stated they received many positive comments in support of this application. Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2007 - 01 approving the new application from Glozer, LLC for a beer and wine license at Lyric Cinema Caf6, 300 East Mountain Avenue, contingent upon both owners attend Liquor Enforcement Younger's class.
