Staff Liaison: Aimee Jensen A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on April 16, 2007 in Municipal Court, Justice Center, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: Teresa Ablao, Assistant City Attorney Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Robert Younger, Liquor Enforcement Officer Agenda Review Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated the show cause hearing for Mini Corporation, dba Match -Ups, 625 South Mason has been continued to June 18, 2007 to allow the applicant to review their options regarding the patio. Show Cause Hearing for Mini Corporation, dba Match -Ups, 625 South Mason Continued to June 18, 2007 Judge Lane continued the hearing to June 18, 2007. Show Cause Hearing for First Fish, LLC, dba Sullivan's, 820 City Park Avenue, Hearing Vacated Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao requested that the Judge vacate this hearing as all the requirements imposed have been met. Judge Lane vacated the hearing for First Fish, LLC, dba Sullivan's, 820 City Park Avenue. April 16, 2007 Transfer of Ownership of Sullivan's Sports Tavern, 820 City Park Avenue from FirstFish, LLC, to Slips TMT, LLC, Approved William Wawro, attorney representing Slips TMT, LLC, stated all three members of Slips TMT, LLC were present. Michael Hamm, Ronald Harrison, and Anthony Springer, members of Slips TMT, LLC, each described their background. Mr. Hamm stated any new employee will be required to complete TIP's training. He stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code will be immediately terminated. Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of Sullivan's, 820 City Park Avenue from First Fish, LLC, to Slips TMT, LLC. Registration of Gerard Boyle as Manager of C.B. & Potts, 1415 West Elizabeth, Approved Gerard Boyle, manager applicant, stated he has been working with this company for many years. He briefly described the training he has received and that he will complete the TIP's program April 21, 2007. Mr. Boyle stated he will be on premise approximately 45 hours a week. He stated any patron that appears to be 30 years of age or younger. Mr. Boyle stated they only accept 5 forms of identification. He stated he has a copy of the liquor code on premise. Judge Lane approved the registration of Gerard Boyle as manager of C.B. & Potts, 1415 West Elizabeth. Registration of Christopher M. Hohweiler as Manager of Courtyard by Marriott, 1200 Oakridee Drive, Approved Christopher Hohweiler, manager applicant, stated he has responsibility of overseeing the Residence Inn. He stated all employees are required to complete TIP's training and that he will attend the training within 2 weeks. Mr. Hohweiler stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated. Judge Lane approved the registration of Christopher M. Hohweiler as manager of Courtyard by Marriott, 1200 Oakridge Drive. 2 April 16, 2007 Transfer of Ownership of 7-Eleven Store 13171A, 505 South Shields from South Corporation, to T.M. Majeed, Inc., and 7-Eleven, Inc., Approved Alan Dill, representative for South Corporation, stated the licensee is ready to proceed. Faiq Maj eed, representative for T.M. Majeed, Inc., briefly described his background. He stated he receives extensive training from 7-Eleven, Inc. Mr. Majeed stated all employees receive the same training. He stated he only accepts a State issued drivers license and passports written in English. Mr. Majeed stated the beer coolers are locked at midnight and that sales are a very small portion of his total sales. Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao stated that Mr. Majeed has attended Liquor Enforcement Officer Younger's class. Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of 7-Eleven Store, 13171 A, 505 South Shields from South Corporation, to T.M. Majeed, Inc., and 7-Eleven, Inc. Hearing on a New Application from Safeway Stores 46, Inc., for a 3.2% Beer - Off Premise License at Safeway Fuel Station, 2451 South Taft Road, Approved Alan Dill, representative for Safeway Stores 46, Inc., stated they are ready to proceed. Brian Murphy, representative for Safeway Stores 46, hie., was sworn. He stated he is the regional manager for all Safeway stores in Colorado. Mr. Murphy stated the fueling station shares the same parking lot as the Safeway grocery store. He stated a majority of the sales will come from fuel. Mr. Murphy briefly described the training employees will be required to complete. He stated any patron that appears to be 30 years of age or younger will be carded. Mr. Murphy stated employees that are found in violation of the liquor code are suspended for 2 weeks and are required to be attend training. Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2007 - 05 approving the 3.2% Beer - Off Premise License from Safeway Stores 46, hie., dba Safeway Fuel Station, 2451 South Taft Hill Road. Hearing on a New Application from Harmony Hotels, LLC, for a Beer and Wine License at Homewood Suites by Hilton 1521 Oakridge Drive Approved John Maple, representative for Harmony Hotels, LLC, was sworn. He briefly described the premise. Mr. Maple stated they will be serving complimentary beer and wine at a manager's reception to be held in the evenings between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. He stated they will be selling bottles of beer and wine for patrons to consume on premise. Mr. Maple stated the patio will monitored by staff. He stated all employees will be required to attend Liquor Enforcement Officer Younger's training class. Mr. Maple stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code will be terminated immediately. He stated there is a current copy of the liquor code on premise. April 16, 2007 Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2007 - 04 approving the beer and wine license from Harmony Hotels, LLC, dba Homewood Suites by Hilton, 1521 Oakridge Drive.
