MEMORANDUM
The Fort Collins Housing Authority

Minutes of the June 20, 1975 Special Meeting
I. The meeting was called to order at 4:15 p.m. in the Housing Authority
office, located at 220 N. Meldrum.
II. Present were:

Shelley Domann, Secretary to Housing Author!
III. John McGraw introduced Jim Woods of the Planning Office to the members of
the Authority, and said that Mr. Woods was here to explain the Section 8 appli-
cation - Housing Assistance Payments Program.
Mr. McGraw further reported that before the application is sent to the Depart-
ment of Housing and Urban Development, the Housing Authority must first approve
the application, and that the application is due into HUD on Monday, June 23,
1975.
IV. After Jim Woods' presentation, Al Kruchten brought up the following questions
which at the time were unanswerable but would be answered at the next meeting.
A. How will payment of the monies for Section 8 Program comet
B. How will reimbursement for utilities comet ,
C. Under this program is the City required to have.the existing
housing within city limitsY
V. Al Kruchten moved to. accept Section 8 application and to authorize Pete Sanchez
to sign the necessary documents and that copies of the application form be dis-
bursed to all members at the next .scheduled meeting.

VI. Other Business:
Nancy McComb reported to the Authority that Betty Jo White, CSUAssi'stant
Professor of Consumer Science and Housing, has offered to give student
assistance ,in pre -occupancy and budget counseling to tenants of the
Housing Authority units,. She counseling would be under Mrs. White's super-
vision and students rendering the counseling would receive credits for their
work.
VII. Adjournment:
The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m. with the next meeting scheduled for
July 1, 1975 at 4:00 p.m. in the Local Housing Authority's office at 220 N.
Meldrum.
