Maryanne called the meeting to order at 5:35. A discussion was held on the
proposed Soapbox article written by Elaine, Lisa and Police Chief Dennis
Harrison. A vote to approve the letter ended in a tie with 2 votes to approve, 2
votes for revision of the letter and 1 abstention. Elaine will bring the original letter
and a possible revision to the regular HRC meeting on March 8, 2007.
The proposed city ordinance on immigration was discussed and a statement to
be sent to City Council Members and to be read at the Council Meeting was
formulated and approved by the five members present voting unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 P.M.
