There were present: Robotham, Baldivia, Fentress and Hendrick. Mr. Batson carnne in a little later. Staff members present: Smith, Schrawyer, Seib, Myatt and Hoffman. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. Minutes of the meetir December 19, 1973 apprcved Authority member Fentress made a motio!i, seconded by Rudy Baldivia, to approve the minutes fi•om the provious meeting as published. Yeas: ha.ldivia, Fentress, Hendrick and Robotham. Nays: None. Final hearing on Gene's Tavern, 200 Walnut, for a Hotel - Restaurant Liquor License continued to 20, 1.9.74 City At.t.ornev ^Myatt stated that he had received a letter from the appli- cants counsel requesting the continuance. Authority member Hendrick made a motion, seconded by iudy Baldivia, to grant the request for a continuance tic) February 20, 1974 for the final hearing on this matter. Yeas: Baldivia., Fentress, Hendrick and Robotham. Nays: None. Final hearing on Casa Godinez Restaurant, Site 15, Foothills Fashion Mall, Hotel -Restaurant, decision to be rendered in due time. Mr. Gene Timnennans, Attorney for the applicants, called on Gi.11ermo Godinez, Joe Pacheco and .Jesse Godinez, who spoke to the type of operation, management of the establi_slueent and presented several petitions to the Authority in support of such an establishment in that area. Chief Smith was called on by the Chairman and asked if the Police Depart= ment anticipated problems from this type of operation? Chief Smith advised the Authority that if the new establishment were operated and managed the same as the one now in operation, there hould.be no problems; "the Godinez's havealways run a tight ship". Authority member Batson made a motion, seconded by Rosemarie Fentress, that the matter be taken under advisement and to notify the applicant in writ- ing of their decision within 30 days. Yeas: Batson, Baldivia, Fentress, Hendrick and Robotham. Nays: None. Page 2 Preliminary hearing on Tico's of Port Collins, Lot 1, Drake Park Subdivision, hotel -Restaurant Liquor License continued to February 20, 1974 City Attorney Myatt advised the Authority that a letter had been received by the City Clerk's office requesting a continuance for the preliminary hearing to February 20, 1974. Authority member Fentress made a motion, seconded by .ioinl Batson, that the continuance be granted. Yeas: Bald.ivi.a, Isatson, Fentress, Hendrick and Robotham. Nays: None. City Attorney Diyatt inquired about tli(: certificate to do business in Colorado since they are not incorporated under tll^ Slate of Colorado, but rather the State of lrashir.;ton. Ho t<;is assuicd by the applicants that they had made application to the State of Colorado for a certificate to do bus- iness here and it would be forthcoming. z 40 So Page 3: :authority member Batson made a motion, seconded by Rudy Baldivia, to set the Loiui:iaries for the area to be served as 2,000 feet in each direction from the proposed location of the establishment and the hearing date to be February 20, 1974. Yeas: Baldivia, Batson, Fentress, Hendrick and Robotham. Nays: None. Expansion plans for the Northern Hotel Restaurant and Lounge approved mr. William. Page 4 Discussion on final hearing of Casa Godinez Hotel - Restaurant Liquor License T?:e Authority discussed the evidence presented earlier in the meeting con- cerning the Hotel -Restaurant Liquor application for Gillermo Godinez and Jesse Godinez dba Casa Godinez, and a decision to approve the appli- cation was rendered. Authority member Fentress made the motion, seconded by Sheila Hendrick, to approve the application and written notice be given at the next meet- ing. Yeas: Baldivia, Batson, Fentress, Hendrick and Robotham. Nays: None. Adjournment A motion to adjourn was then made by John Batson, seconded by Rudy Baldivia.
