Special Meeting - Saturday, April 25, 1987
A special meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held,
at the request of Bob Veazie, on Saturday, April 25, 1987, in
the CIC Room of the City of Fort Collins Municipal Building.
The following members were present: Acott, Bullard, Monaghan,
Morgan, Sommermeyer, Spaulding, and Veazie.
Staff Members Present: Steve Roy, City Attorneys Office
The Liquor Licensing Authority met at the request of Bob Veazie
at noon on Saturday, April 25, 1987, in the CIC room of City
Hall, 300 Laporte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado. The purpose
of the meeting was to discuss the Board's authority under state
statute to consider the summary suspension of any special
events permits that had been issued for the College Days week-
end. The meeting was prompted by the rioting which had
occurred the preceding night in connection with the College
Days celebration, as reported by the media.
Discussion among members revealed that none of the impro-
prieties which had been brought to the attention of the Author-
ity had allegedly resulted from or been connected with the
issuance of any special events permits.
