I. Minutes were approved as distributed.

II. Committee Reports:
A. CED - Susan - did not meet.
Susan would like job descriptions of committees tightend up
and clarified.
B. EEO/AA - Paul - no report
1st Quarterly report will be available soon, after first pay
period in July.
C. Police - Mary - no report
D. MLK - David - no report
E. HRC/CSW - Susan for Randy
Nothing happening now.
F. CAB - Paul
Choices '95 probably will not be on November Referendum -
possibly March.
Human Resources Committee is starting site visits to agencies
in August. Allocations will take place in September.
III. Old Business
Members received Council's Draft of the amendment to change
the city's anti -discrimination ordinance. Steve moved,
seconded by Louise, that Susan attend City Council meeting
on August 2 to give HRC's support to the City's position.
Discussion followed. Passed unanimously.
IV. New Business
A. No minority person selected for a vacancy on HRC. Susan would like
to see HRC recommend that City Council appoint a minority when a

vacancy occurs.
B. The annual retreat will be in September at REA if available; otherwise
at Steve's house. Format will be the same as last year. CED will
plan retreat.
C. Rosemary, Steve, Louise, and Mary volunteered to serve on a
committee to revise the status of HRC.
V. Announcements
City Council open forum on changes to city's anti -discrimination
ordinance on August 2 in City Council Chambers at 6:30 P.M.
VI. Next Meeting
August 11, 1988, 4:30 P.M. in C.I.C.
