Motion was made to accept the March, 1991 minutes. In the EEO/AA report, Mary's statement on the City and CSU internship program should have bgeliMary would like the City and CSU internship program toreinstate pay for the interns. Amended minutes were passed. EEO Report The next meeting for the EEO subcommittee with be on April 25, at 3:00. Committee of Executive Delegation Each member should check their brochures, and please replenish at designated locations. Police Report The next meeting for the Police subcommittee will be on April 1 Sth. Community Action Board no report This remaining portion of the HRC meeting will be devoted to brainstorming. EEO/AA ■ The EEO/AA subcommittee will need to seek and tally civilian labor force data to compare against City labor numbers. a. If we can obtain national, state, or county breakdowns on labor force, the committee than can make recommendations to city officials. b. The subcommittee should breakdown the data by job classification and ethnicity. C. This will allow the subcommittee to establish standards, which in turn will support their recommendations. ■ The target date to have data and recommendations available to present to the City will be June 1991. ■ We would like to invite and encourage the City Council liaison to come more often to HRC meetings. Their input and suggestions are welcomed at anytime. ■ The HRC should send greetings to all new members of the City Council, and to our first elected Mayor. Police Subcommittee ■ This subcommittee should start to change the hand-out (provided by the police department to citizens who might wish to pursue a grievance). The current statements are misleading the public to believe that this group is a citizens review board. ■ The subcommittee will continue to enhance their relationship with the police department through month meetings with police administrators. ■ This group will need to find a way to help citizens to understand what options the public has to address their complements and concerns. Also, citizens should be provided with information about their rights. _ ■ Maybe a official citizens review board should established, not necessarily this subcommittee or the HRC. CED ■ The video Voices' (diversity video produced by Colorado State University) has been completed. This video could provide the CED with opportunity provide some outreach. , ■ Calendar of events should be established and maintained by the CED. Motion was made to continue the brainstorming discussion at the next meeting schedule for May 9, 1991. Motion was passed. Also, a motion was made to start all meetings were we left off at the previous meeting. This motion passed. Meeting is adjourned at 7:17 pm. Meeting is adjourned at 7:30 pm.
