HomeMy WebLinkAboutParks And Recreation Board - Minutes - 04/18/1967FORT COLLINS PARRS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD Minutes of 14eetinq April 183,. 967 The regular meeting, of the Fort Collins Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was called to order by the chainaan, Mr. C. W. Peterson, at 700 p.m. on April 180 1967. There was discussion about Club Tico relative to the salary paid the manager by the Tico Board (in addition to the regular salary paid by the City of .Fort Collins), the issuing of admittance cards (a policy which was discontinued last year), and evaluation of policies and rules. Following this discussion, a motion was made by Mrs. Eddy, seconded, and carried that a meeting of old and new Tico Club Eoard members be held with the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board at its regular meeting in September. The Club Tico financial report was reviewed and approved. It was announced that the annual meeting of the Colorado Recreation Association will be held April 27 and 28 at Villa Italia in Denver. Mr. H. R. Phillips reported that the Coca Cola Company has requested that the City of Fort Collins purchase the electric scoreboard for the baseball field and that the comparW Ulan pay the city a sum of 'k250 per year for advertising. A proposal by the Westminstor Church to develop a park area on property which they own was rejected because of the expense involved. Sprinkler system bids will be opened on April 19 for Spring Creek Park and the south City Park baseball diamond. The baseball lights and poles are also to be bid. The lights on the tennis courts at Fort Collins High School will be dedicated at the May Board meeting.
