Minutes of Meet
October 18, 1966
The regular meeting of the Fort Collins Parks and Recreation Department Board
was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by the chairman, Mr. C. W. Peterson, in
the Parks and Recreation office.
The minutes of the September meeting were approved.
Doyle Sorrell, manager of Club Tico, reported that affairs of the Club are
running satisfactorily. Attendance during the fall has not been as large
as it has been previously. Mr. Sorrell also presented a financial report
of the Club which was accepted. Some problems were discussed and Mr. Sorrell
was reminded that the Board is always ready to assist Club Tico in any way.
Mr. Peterson reported that the Jayettes had a concession stand at the
annual JAA Football Circus.
The problem of other agencies conducting recreation programs was discussed.
There appears to be very little need for any other programs, and if that
need arises the Recreation Board will analyze procedures at that time.
Mr. Phillips reported that the football circus had been successful .
Mrs. Eddy moved that Mr. Bill dershiser be offered a new contract as
concessionna.ire at City Park. The motion was seconded and carried, and
the preparation of the contract will be done by the city attorney.
Mr. Phillips reported that plans are under way for the ski program.
The meeting was adjourned.
