GOLF BOARD MEETING
MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 22, 1971
COLLINDALE CLUBHOUSE
The meeting was called to order by President, Wilbur Garfield,
at 7:30 P.M.
Discussion was held on the possibility of renting the Clubhouse
for special groups after golf hours are over. These groups would
be bridge clubs, social clubs, etc. H. R. is to check with the
City Manager and City Attorney on this.
Discussion was held on the locker proposal and it was agreed to
send a letter to the full membership and offer the lockers on a
first come, first served basis. Since the original locker proposal
was made for men, it was agreed to offer a 1/4 locker for women
at $20.00 for 5 years.
Three committees were agreed on by the president as follows:
1. Contract committee for the golf professionals consisting
of Stew Case, chairman, Gary Garwood and H. R. Phillips.
2. A cart committee with Jack Washichek, chairman, Doug
Phillips, Bill Metier, H, R. Phillips and Neil Johnson.
3. A committee on fee study for 1972 to be headed by
Marvin Garfield, with H. R. Phillips and the entire
board working on this.
Doug Phillips was re-elected as a representative to the Men's Golf
Association.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
