A regular meeting of the Human Relations Commission was NOT held on June 14
2001 in the CIC Room, 300 W. Laporte Avenue DUE TO LACK OF QUORUM.
Those members who could attend however, did review the following topics:
HRC Members present Mary Gomez, Bob Leak, Man Oberoi, Parker Preble
HRC Members absent
with notification Dan Devine, Shion Hung, Rita Klepac, Ingrid Kolstoe, Richard Miller
Staff Members present: Angelina Powell, HRC Staff Liaison
Periodic Review
Members in attendance reviewed the HRC Periodic Review document in preparation for the a review set
before City Council on July 24, 2001.
Announcements:
Parker Preble brought the following news articles/documents and suggested we start a review notebook to
which commission members could have access:
• Business card: Thoa Pam, Americorp VISTA Volunteer
• NCMC Agenda for their June 7, 2001 Meeting
• Foothills Unitarian Church Draft of Purpose: Eracism Film Series
• Denver Post 4/23/01 Minority effort is all to the goods (Group: No. Colo. Must offer products people
of color seek.)
