DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
1996 WORK PLAN
Based upon its last retreat, the Downtown Development Authority
will focus its efforts in 1996 on:
1. Renovation of significant downtown structures;
2. Improving parking in the CBD;
3. Encouraging additional housing in the CBD;
4. Rezoning to better accommodate downtown development
projects.
In addition to these retreat items, the Authority will also:
1. Continue its facade and sidewalk improvement
program;
2. Explore the establishment of a business improvement
district as a way to consolidate economic programs
in the CBD;
3. Provide assistance to the City in the development
of the Civic Center Plan.
